Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the App in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Strictly Moris.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least thirteen years old to use Strictly Moris. If you create a provider profile (business, service, or activity), you confirm that you are legally permitted to operate the business or profession you are listing and that you have the authority to publish the information you submit.

3. Your Account

To use most features, you need to create an account with a valid email and a password. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, current, and complete information
• Keeping your password confidential and your session secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access

Each person may hold only one account at a time. We reserve the right to suspend duplicate or abandoned accounts.

4. Provider Profiles

Strictly Moris supports three mutually exclusive kinds of provider profiles: Business, Service, and Activity. You may hold only one provider profile at a time. If you want to switch types — for example, from a service provider to a business — you must delete your existing profile and create a new one.

5. Business and Service Profiles

Business and Service profiles represent a single place or professional practice per user. Opening hours (for businesses) and working hours (for services) must reflect reality. Contact details, social links, and uploaded documents must belong to you or your business and must be lawful to display.

6. Activity Profiles and Events

An Activity profile represents a single venue or organization that hosts events or activities — for example, a nightclub, a tour company, or an event hall. You may add an unlimited number of individual events under your profile, each with its own name, schedule type (one-time, recurring, or always open), date and time, price, and participant limit.

Strictly Moris is not a ticketing platform. We do not process event payments, issue tickets, or manage RSVPs. Any payment or booking for an event happens directly between you and the attendee, outside the App.

7. Listing Review and Approval

Every listing submitted through Strictly Moris is reviewed by our team before it becomes publicly visible. We may approve, reject, or request changes to any listing. Listings that are inaccurate, deceptive, illegal, or that violate these Terms will be rejected or removed. If your listing is rejected, you may edit and resubmit it.

Approval is not an endorsement. We do not verify the qualifications, licenses, or quality of any provider beyond a basic accuracy check.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload — photos, descriptions, documents, messages, and everything else. By uploading content to the App, you grant Strictly Moris a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies retained in backups or as required by law.

You represent and warrant that you own the content you upload or have the rights and permissions needed to share it, and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

9. Acceptable Use

When using Strictly Moris, you agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Impersonate another person, business, or organization
• Upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that violates the privacy or rights of others
• Send spam, bulk messages, or repetitive unsolicited contact
• Use the App to distribute malware, viruses, or malicious links
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, scraping protections, or security controls
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest App content for redistribution
• Use automated systems (bots) to interact with the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App's code or API
• Create multiple accounts or evade bans and suspensions
• Use the App to engage in illegal activity under Mauritian law

10. In-App Messaging

Strictly Moris includes a direct messaging system for contacting providers. By using it, you agree to:

• Send only messages that are respectful, relevant, and lawful
• Not use messaging to spam, harass, or solicit users for unrelated purposes
• Respect the thirty-messages-per-minute rate limit enforced by our systems

You may block any user, which prevents them from starting new threads with you. You may also report abusive messages, and we will review them. Repeated abuse will result in account suspension.

11. Photos, Documents, and Uploaded Files

You may upload up to five photos per listing and one PDF document (such as a menu, price list, or certification). Uploaded files must not contain malware, must not exceed reasonable size limits, and must relate to the listing they appear on. We reserve the right to remove uploads that violate these Terms.

12. No Transactions Through the App

Strictly Moris is a directory and discovery platform. We do not process payments, reservations, contracts, or deliveries between users and providers. Any commercial arrangement between a user and a provider is made directly between them, outside the App. Strictly Moris is not a party to, and takes no responsibility for, any such arrangement.

13. Provider Analytics

If you are a provider, the App shows you basic metrics about your listing — views, saves, shares, and action taps. These metrics are for your information only and are not guaranteed to be accurate to the individual count. We may change or remove metric features at any time.

14. Intellectual Property

The App itself — including its name, logo, design, source code, icons, UI, and all associated materials — is the intellectual property of Strictly Moris and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the "Strictly" or "Strictly Moris" names, logos, or trademarks.

15. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Supabase (backend hosting), Google Maps Platform (location and address search), and Expo (app delivery and push notifications). Your use of these services through the App is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or content provided by third parties.

16. Notifications and Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional notifications from the App, including listing approval status, messages, and important account updates. You can disable non-essential notifications in Notification Settings or at the device level. We do not send marketing push notifications without your consent.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, or posed a risk to other users or to the App. We may also remove individual listings, events, photos, messages, or accounts at our discretion.

You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. All your data — profile, listings, events, photos, documents, messages, saved items, and notifications — will be removed from our systems.

18. Changes to the App

We are constantly improving Strictly Moris. We may add, remove, or change features at any time, with or without notice. We may also discontinue the App entirely, in which case we will give reasonable notice when practical.

19. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that providers are qualified, or that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Information displayed in a listing is provided by the listing owner, not by us. Use your own judgment before contacting, hiring, visiting, or transacting with any provider found through the App.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strictly Moris and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, or one hundred Mauritian rupees, whichever is greater. Because Strictly Moris is free to use for end users, this amount will typically be one hundred rupees.

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Strictly Moris harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you inside the App. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.

24. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, represent the entire agreement between you and Strictly Moris concerning the App and supersede any prior agreements.
